Yahoo! project connects Filipino migrant workers to families
Yahoo! has its eye on the 8 million overseas Filipino workers and their families. It has recently created Pinoy Connect, which aims to “connect” these group of Filipinos via the Internet.
INTERNET company Yahoo! has launched a new initiative that aims to connect 8 million overseas Filipino workers with their families, Southeast Asian executives told reporters on Tuesday.
This was a result of a Yahoo! global research study showing that about “33 percent of Filipinos believe that instant messaging applications,” like Yahoo! Messenger, have helped “improved relationships between parents and children.”
