Solon holds online press-con to mark Martial Law declaration

(UPDATE) Bayan Muna Representative Satur Ocampo or “Ka Satur” made Philippine Internet history when he conducted his first online press conference, with help from Philippine Internet portal Yehey.com’s chat service. With initial glitches, the online presscon started pass 11 am Thursday, and ended almost two hours later. An interesting note during the chat was Satur’s admission that he was a “newbie” and was afraid that he might make some mistakes…in typing. Of course, as a former journalist, he was conscious of his answers. In one thread, he answered one question posed, but quickly apologized for the poorly constructed sentence. But that’s the essence of a chat. It is real-time, and it is really conversational.
