Talking Web

IBM has recently bared what it believes are five technology innovations in the next five years that will change human lives. Most of these innovations are already in existence, but key here is it becomes mainstream. IBM has been known to have developed technologies, which was later “stolen” by tech mavens who in turn made them mainstream. If you saw “PIrates of Silicon Valley” you’ll understand how innovations emerge from elsewhere, but tech mavens like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, among others, were quick to pick up on these ideas and turn them into a good business. If you notice, by the way, those three names are now among the world’s richest people in the world. What did they have that others didn’t? 10,000 hours of “practice” and good timing, heh. (Details you can read in Malcolm Gladwell’s Outlier book).
