New NTC chief named, says DoTC spokesman
RETIRED Rear Admiral Abraham Abesamis will be the new National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) chief. Abesamis, who retired from the Philippine Navy last year, replaces former commissioner Ronald Olivar Solis who resigned this week, DoTC spokesperson Thompson Lantion said.
Lantion is also chairman of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Abesamis was former vice commander of the Philippine Navy and was deputy chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines for communications. He was also deputy navy chief for communications.
Solis says he is going back to his private law practice.
